- Q:There are 6 pins on the TR10a-HL external power connector, which pin are 12V power and which are ground? Is there a required sequence of external power supply and PCIe power supply?
- A:Please refer to the figure below to see which 3 pins are 12V and GND pin. You can choose either the external power supply or the PCIe power supply. No sequence for power supply is required. If power is supplied at the same time, the board itself will automatically switch to external power supply
-
- Q: How to resolve the situation that the "Device Manager" in the Window doesn’t show the PCIe Device and the PCIe Driver can’t be installed after running the .bat file provided in the system CD under folder \Demonstrations\PCIe_Fundamental and re-starting the PC?
- A: Try the following methods to adjust the testing steps:
- First, plug the TR10a-HL board into the PC’s PCIe socket and connect the board with external power supply; then power on the board. Finally, power on the PC. (Note: the external power supply mentioned here refers to the power supply included in the TR10a-HL kit, NOT the power supply of the PC.)
- Download the sof file by executing test.bat. Power off the PC after the download is completed. At this time, the TR10a-HL continues to stay powered-on because it is connected to an external power supply.
- Re-start the PC after it is completely power-off. The Device Manager will then show the PCIe Device.
-
- Q: What is the maximum power consumption of the TR10a-HL? What is the maximum speed supported by QSPF+?
- A: The maximum power consumption of TR10a-HL is about 80W; the maximum speed supported by QSPF+ is 40G.
-
- Q: What to do if the following message shows up when programming Flash by using Quartus 18.1 to execute the command “nios2-flash-programmer” on TR10a-HL?
- "Checksummed/read 108kB in 0.0s
- 02B40000 ( 0%): Erasing
- Erase failed at offset 2B40000
- Leaving target processor paused"
- A: First, please make sure if the base address setting of CFI Flash in Qsys as well as its corresponding reset vector setting are correct or not. The correct setting should be as follows.
