Terasic DE5-Net board now officially supports the OpenCL Computing Language (OpenCL tm) programming model. Experience the incredible performance boost using our most powerful solution!
To fulfill the design needs that demand high speed, advanced memory interfacing, and the highest logic capacity, Terasic has just announced a host of new FPGA boards for tackling high-bandwidth applications such as high frequency trading, data acquisition, network and signal processing. The boards come within three flavors: the TR5-Lite, which features a conveniently small form-factor, the DE5-NET, which maximizes memory, speed, and bandwidth capabilities, and the TR5-F40W, which promotes flexibility and feature expansion.
Since Terasic was established in 2003, the number one priority of the board-design company has always been to revolutionize the educational landscape of digital logic design by taking laboratory and on-hands training to the next level. With the release of the Development and Education (DE) Series, ranging from the tiny Cyclone DE0-Nano development board to high-end Stratix DE5-Net development board, the DE series includes an impressive feature-set that satisfies virtually every educational requirement. Unlike prior kits, the release of the DE boards heavily emphasized real-world applications, taking laboratory classes beyond just operating LEDs and switches and into practical development with multimedia, industrial communication, and networking.
We are pleased to announce that Terasic DE5-Net board has been officially certified as Altera Preferred Board for OpenCL!
Altera have introduced the concept of reference platforms to leverage the flexibility of FPGAs and help to implement the variety of customizable hardware architectures. The reference platforms contain both the hardware and software layers for Altera’s reference designs to communicate with the board.
University of Massachusetts Amherst has recently announced that they’ve successfully using the Altera DE5-NET Stratix V FPGA development board on the NetFPGA project.
